Derek Bush was born in Gettysburg and raised in East Berlin, PA. He is a graduate of Bermudian Springs High School. Derek graduated from Shippensburg University’s John L. Grove College of Business with a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration in Accounting. During his time at Shippensburg University, he was a member of the Accounting Club. Prior to joining Cohick and Associates, he gained experience in Payroll/HR with a company in York, PA. Since joining Cohick and Associates in 2018, he has worked on tax preparation, bookkeeping and payroll; he is also continuing his education by pursuing an Enrolled Agent license to represent clients before the IRS.
Derek loves spending time with his wife Hannah, family, and close friends. He also enjoys traveling to new cities, watching sporting events, beach trips, hiking, and family gatherings around the holidays.
He is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals and is one of the youngest members in the Pennsylvania Chapter.
